About Us

Aaron and Meg Dickson breed and raise Wessex Saddleback pigs on their 81 acres of land in Currency Creek, South Australia.

We have a simple philosophy that happy free range pigs, produce delicious tasting pork.

Farming a rare breed wessex saddleback produces a superior quality pork product, with magnificent flavour profile in the meat and fat.

Ethically raised and sustainable farming practices means that the pigs are free to roam the open paddocks, roll in mud wallows to cool themselves, and to dig around in the soil to forage for food.

Our pork is butchered at McLaren Vale, and we sell direct to the public at farmers markets.

We have a simple philosophy that happy free range pigs, produce delicious tasting pork.
Our story

After years of bouncing between Australian snow seasons and the corporate world, we decided to pursue our dream of living off the land as free range pig farmers. Some eight years later in November 2012, we purchased our 81 acre property in Currency Creek, SA.

With a love of surfing for Aaron and close to family for Meg, South Australia is the perfect place to live and farm ethically raised pork.

We purchased our first Wessex Saddleback pigs and breeding pairs in 2016, and after a few teething problems in breeding our pigs,

we commenced farmers markets in June 2018 and are very proud to be producing true free range pork direct to the public.

Coming from cattle farming backgrounds it was a steep learning curve and like most things in life we are still learning.

We are passionate about the Wessex Saddleback rare breed pigs, that are highly regarded for their amazing tasting quality meat.
